Financial Aid: What's Available?
100% of BCMT students who applied qualified for Federal Student Aid last year! Our Financial Aid Advisor has the experience to assist you in exploring available financial resources and can make the Federal Student Aid application procedure effortless. Additional financing options available include: 0% in-house financing, and career, alternative or private loans. BCMT also accepts 529 Tuition Plan, Veterans Benefits (VA), Vocational Rehabilitation Funds, Americorps, and external scholarships.

In addition to the Title IV Federal Financial Aid programs, students may qualify for:
- Veterans Administration benefits: US Department of Veterans Affairs
- Vocational Rehabilitation funds: Vocational Rehabilitation State Offices
- Workforce Investment Act (formerly Job Training Partnership Act) programs: US Department of Labor - Employment & Training Administration
Other state loans and grants may depend on the student's state of residence. Individual employers frequently offer education funds for employees or for retraining of employees.

College Goal Sunday
College Goal Sunday is an opportunity for students and parents to get free help in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA. The FAFSA is the first step and a Federal requirement for all college students who plan to pay for college with the help of:
-Grants
-Scholarships
-Work Study Funds
-Student Loans
In 2007, College Goal Sunday takes place in 30 states on a Sunday in February. In Colorado, the date is February 11, 2007. $10,000 in scholarships will be given away! You can win $1,000 at one of 10 sites around Colorado. [ more infomation ]

Career Loans
These loans are designed to assist qualifying students with tuition and fees, books and materials, and living expenses while in school. Key Bank offers these loans. Application forms can be completed online at: www.key.com/educate/career or apply by phone at 1-800-KEY-LEND. The loan approval process can be completed within 24 hours.
Alternative Loans
These loans are designed to assist degree seeking, qualifying students (BCMT Associate Degree) with tuition and fees, books and materials, and living expenses while in school. Scholarships
NEW Kit Faragher Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship will support Colorado students who have earned a high school GPA of 2.5, are in need of financial assistance for college, university, or technical school, and who also capture Kit's essence by demonstrating a positive attitude, strong commitment, and a drive towards accomplishment.
Available for the 2007-2008 school year, the scholarship may be used for any accredited two or four year college, university, or technical school. Scholarship money may be used for tuition, books, lab fees, or other costs directly related to the degree program. The scholarship recipient will receive an award of $2,500 for two years, for a total of $5,000.
The scholarship payment will be made directly to the school on the student's behalf at the start of each semester/quarter for the first two years. In order to maintain the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA throughout the first two years of the educational program. Submission of grades along with a personal written assessment of accomplishments must be submitted to the Kit Faragher Foundation at the end of each semester/quarter for the recipient's first two years. Ken Morgareidge Scholarship
BCMT offers six $500 scholarships per year to fourth quarter students who have maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher and demonstrated exemplary professionalism and service to the community.
American Specialty Health Scholarship
ASH is proud to offer two scholarships per year of $1000 to recognize academic excellence and enthusiasm towards students enrolled in massage therapy programs. Students must have at least 100 hours of academic credit prior to submitting an application. [ more information ]
Ben Cummings Allied Health Scholarship
Five student entries will be selected to receive a $1000 scholarship award, and all entries will be eligible for display on our "Great Ideas!" website. The application provides more information about the 2006 scholarship photo contest and application process.
Winning contest entries will be chosen for creativity, technical quality, originality, and how well the written description explains the concept as taught in the anatomy & physiology or microbiology course. [ more information ]
Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Education (ANTSHE)
ANTSHE award three $500 scholarships a year to nontraditional students who are enrolled in a degree or certificate program at time of scholarship award for 6 credit hours. Students must have completed at least 15 credit hours with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. [ more information ]
Talbots Women's Scholarship Fund
A program of the Talbots Charitable Foundation, will award $100,000 in scholarships to women who earned their high school diploma or GED 10 years ago or longer. Five women will each be awarded $10,000 scholarships, and 50 women will each be awarded $1,000 scholarships. All applicants must be seeking an undergraduate degree from an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school. [ more information ]
College in Colorado Scholarship
The College In Colorado Scholarship is being offered to Colorado's 8th and 9th grade students who commit to completing pre-collegiate coursework and maintaining at least a 2.5 GPA. The scholarship encourages students to begin planning for college early and provides financial support for high-need students who are academically prepared for higher education.
Students who meet all of the College In Colorado Scholarship requirements will qualify for up to $1,500 per year to help fill the gap in college financing at a Colorado college. To be eligible, a student must be a legal Colorado resident and apply during 8th or 9th grade. [ more information ]
Colorado Business and Professional Women’s Foundation (CBPWEF)
If you are a women, 25 years of age and older, enrolled in an accredited Colorado college or university, dedicated to your studies and forging a path that will make life better for yourself, your children and your community, CBPWEF wants to hear from you. Scholarship applications are accepted twice per year and awards vary. [ more information ]
Their average recipient is:
- 35 years old
- Single with two children
- Earns less than $16,000 per year
- Within a year of graduating
- Holds a 3.8 GPA
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to deserving sons and daughters of current or former United States Marines in their pursuit of higher education. One-year scholarships (ranging from $500 -$10,000) are awarded annually and are limited to undergraduate studies at accredited educational and/or technical institutions. The deadline for application submissions for the 2007-2008 academic year is March 1, 2007 for high school seniors and April 16, 2007 for all other students. [ more information ]
