From: Hi, my name is Autumn Rosendahl. As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), I offer Shiatsu Bodywork, Normalization of Soft Tissue (NST), and Swedish Massage.
I studied Bodywork & Massage at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in Colorado, nationally recognized as the leader for advanced education in bodywork and massage therapy. I graduated with honors with 1,034 completed hours in the certification program for Massage Therapy.
My goal and passion in working with my clients is to aid in their healing by allowing their bodies to realize their innate power to heal themselves. My clients are individuals who are seeking balance in their hectic lives and are committed to making change in their bodies, emotions, minds, and spirits. Through Shiatsu Bodywork, NST, and Swedish Massage, my clients are empowered to participate in their own healing.
Each type of Bodywork & Massage that I practice has an energetic component that focuses on the whole client, working through the body, rather than just working on the body. Bodywork & Massage affects not only the body, but they affect our emotions, minds and spirits as well.
What is Shiatsu?
The goal of Shiatsu is to utilize the body’s own energetic system to heal itself. During a Shiatsu session, the therapist uses finger pressure on the clothed body to stimulate flow and to elicit balance of the ki, or energy, of the body. This helps show the client to balance his or her ki by showing where it can be redirected. When our ki is flowing well, we enjoy peace, happiness, and the freedom of symptoms.
What is NST?
NST is the evaluation and treatment of postural dysfunction and traumatic injuries; it involves MyoFascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, Lymphatic Drainage, and Cyriax Cross Fiber Friction.
What is Swedish Massage?
Swedish Massage uses various strokes on the body’s surface with the use of lubricants to stimulate the circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, muscular, digestive and nervous systems. It also helps to remind the body of its own healing capabilities.
