Internships at BCMT
Rebecca at CU Sports Internship
A few days ago I was supervising a few of our students at one of our internship sites. These students were doing sports massage for elite athletes at the Boulder campus of the University of Colorado. I found myself in a conversation with Rebecca who is a 4th quarter student. She shared with me that she is not very athletic and that she initially felt somewhat intimidated by the thought of working on accomplished athletes. I was impressed by Rebecca and her desire to challenge herself by working outside of her comfort zone. She clearly wants to take advantage of all that she can while she is studying massage therapy here at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy.
Rebecca says that she is inspired by working along side her classmates. She is truly enjoying the opportunity to work with athletes who seem to be so “in touch” with their bodies. Rebecca says, “The CU Sports Internship is awesome and it is certainly one of the highlights of my BCMT experience.”
