(July 9, 2009) — Employment growth for massage therapists is expected to be faster than average for all occupations with very good job prospects, particularly for those seeking part-time work, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the 2008-2009 Occupational Handbook. Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT), a leader in massage therapy education, is responding to the increased interest in becoming a certified massage therapist by offering two programs, 12 and 18 months, for completion of a 1000-Hour Certificate in Massage Therapy Program. Boulder College of Massage Therapy Commemorates 21 Years at BolderBOULDER 2009
Service-Learning Program Provides More Than 10,000 Massages Each Year to the Boulder/Denver Community. BOULDER, Co. (June 2, 2009) — The Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT), the leader in massage therapy education since 1975, today commemorated 21 years of complimentary massages for BolderBOULDER 10K runners and walkers. On race day, May 25, 2009, as part of BCMT’s service-learning program, 75 well-trained Boulder College of Massage Therapy students provided more than 1,400 complimentary massages to aid in recovery and improve the overall health of BolderBOULDER participants. Peace Pole Planting at The Boulder College of Massage Therapy on Sept. 20, 2008
BOULDER, Co. (Sept. 11, 2008) — Students of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT), a leader in massage therapy education, will be planting a Peace Pole on the grounds of the college located at 6255 Longbow Drive in Boulder, Colorado, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008. This “Massage for Peace” event is open to the general public and coincides with BCMT’s graduation ceremony. You are invited to join more than 200 massage therapy graduates, friends and family to support the efforts of the United Nations International Peace Day, which occurs the very next day on Sunday, September 21, 2008 (http://www.internationaldayofpeace.org). Boulder College of Massage Therapy Celebrates 20 Years at DICK’S Sporting Goods BolderBOULDER
BOULDER, Co. (May 7, 2008) — The Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT), a leader in massage therapy education, will be celebrating 20 years of complimentary massage for BolderBOULDER 10K runners and walkers on race day, May 26, 2008. As part of BCMT’s internship program, more than 100 well-trained Boulder College of Massage Therapy students will be at CU’s Recreation Center offering complimentary post-race massages to BolderBOULDER participants. Joins Lippincott Williams & Wilkins in Boosting Teaching Skills (Evergreen, Colo., Jan. 31) - Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) today announced its sponsorship of an instructors’ textbook in massage therapy -- the first of its kind -- in a joint effort with publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW). Slated for release in May, the book’s focus is providing support for teaching skills to massage therapy instructors. [ more ]
